Legio X Fretensis

History of Roman Armor display, table display of coins, artifacts, etc. tactical presentations, ballista firing, pilum drill, gladius drill (providing we are granted space for these demonstrations and drills). Legio X Fretensis ~ Cohors IV, is a Classical Time Period representation of Roman History. We focus our efforts on the 1st Century BC and 1st Century AD. We have also represented the 2nd Century AD time frame and Late Roman 3rd and 4th AD time periods for History Channel TV presentations. Our purpose as a Living History, non-profit organization is to EDUCATE the public on Roman History and its impact upon our own present day civilization.

Battle of Good vs. Evil

Once a day, at 3pm, all the creatures the All-Hallows Faire will pitch a large battle between good and evil. Legendary warriors and good saints will fight the spirits of the dark world. Twenty warriors will pick up swords, battle-axes, and ancient arms and melee in battle for control of the world. Featured will be Vikings, Celtic & Roman solders, St. Patrick, dragon people, trolls, fairies, dark angels, and many little green ogres.

Gaesatae

Gaesatae ~ Iron Age Celts

Late Iron Age continental Celtic warriors and craftspeople. Weapons and tactics display. Trades and art of the ancient Celts. Battle performance. train to be a Celtic warrior (children) cooking. feasting. champion combat. Gallic sports. Gaesatae is an experimental archeology group created to educate the public in life and customs of late Iron Age continental Celtic or La Tene D/III Gallic culture.

Beastcub Creatures

Creatures of the imagination, some scary, some cute, brought to life to wander the fairgrounds. Handmade creations crafted and performed by the Beastcub herself. They will appear at random as the day goes on so keep an eye out for these fur covered creatures as you enjoy the faire. (Beastcub Website)

Carpathian

The stories told are ghostly tales based on old legends, campfire stories, and some original pieces. Carpathian is quite family-friendly, and has entertained audiences of all ages, from very young grade-school children to adult storytelling enthusiasts. The stories range from silly comic pieces to Grimm’s Faerie Tale moral warnings of consequences to more macabre, moody adult tales. Zombieland Graveyard

It's haunted and very scary. Left over from the Dark Ages, this graveyard was used by the ancient Celtic People who died of the plague. Mass graves were filled with hundreds of corpses. Over the last hundred years there have been many newer graves added to this site. Because of All-Hallows Season, many of the dead have become very restless and desire to roam the world again. Beware, there have been reports of mass zombies walking though the fog and looking for food! (This feature is not for the faint of heart)

Bohemian Gypsies

Bohemian Gypsies are traveling gypsy witch fortune tellers. The Bohemian Gypsies read palms and crystal balls and specialize in children. The Bohemian Gypsies recently traveled from Romania, where they were favored in court and were frequently called to the presence the Queen herself. Upon leaving Romania, they traveled to the west heading for the Italian coast, passing through Transylvania. Unfortunately, they caught the eye of one Count Vladimir Dracula, and decided not to stay, for his was a favor they did not want.....

The Bohemian Gypsies are traveling to the All Hallows Eve Faire to see your past, present and future, but watch your children and your wallets around these gypsies, these gypsies have been known to steal children and pick pockets of the unwary!!

Tip the Giant

Come watch "Tip the fire breathing giant!" At twelve feet tall, "Tip the giant" will take your very breath away while juggling flaming pins at twelve feet in the air! watch "Tip" eat and breath fire at amazing heights and give your guests something to remember for years to come. "Tip" will interact with fair patrons throughout the day to give them a experience they are not soon to forget! (Tip the Giant)

Bubble Fairy

The Bubble Fairy

The Bubble Fairy is a bubble artist, who... without saying a word, creates a visually magical experience for the young and young at heart, with a strolling interactive creation of magical bubbles ranging from very small all the way up to Giant bubbles that float and bounce through the air.If you meet her, she may give you a bubble you can take home with you. This act is for all ages; however, adults may find themselves magically transported to a younger more playful time. Only natural handmade wands are used. (Bubble Fairy Website)

Faeries of the Forgotten Forest

A family friendly, interactive troop of faeries that enjoys attending fairs, making friends and nibbling on foodstuffs.
It is always wise to be on the look out for them. They can be seen frivolously flitting about, having fun and bestowing simple favors on wee folks.
You may have even had a chance to sight one or two in Sonora, Fair Oaks, Tulare, Livermore, or Casa de Fruita.
If you do happen upon a sighting, take a moment to meet them and get a little sprinkling of faerie dust to make your day at the fair more magical.

Dark Boar Vikings

The Dark Boar Vikings will be chuckin pumpkins with their ten foot tall trebuchet. Visit their camp at the south end of the faire near the Viking Long House Tavern and stage. But be careful, they've been known to raid the other villages and carry off fair maidens. [website]
